month 5

As you can see from the pictures below, he's grown more in personality than in size this past month:)  He's hair has also grown in a lot more over this month and he is sitting up so much better - for a little while at least!  Hudson has a love/hate relationship with Mr. Giraffe.

You can already tell he is ALL boy:)

poor Mr. Giraffe

keep rollin rollin rollin

Somebody is rolling ... and I luckily had my camera ready to capture one of his firsts.  Most rolls are back to belly, but this is one of the few belly to backs.  I'm sure the soft bed had something to do with it:)

 Thinking about it ...
Decides to go for it and starts by flipping his leg over ...
Stops to make sure this is what he wants to do ...
Puts a little more lean into it ...
 He's going ....
 and going ....
And lands safely on the other side.

month 4

Our little man is definitely turning into a chunker!
He and Mr. Giraffe and turning out to be best buds.

utah

After our weekend in CA, Hudson and I flew to Utah so he could meet the rest of the family!  It was so fun to introduce him to everyone; there is something so special about introducing your child to your family and seeing how much they love him.  He met grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and they all loved him.

It was my birthday while we were there and it was so fun to spend the day with my family but so sad to not have Jason with me to celebrate - we both spent our birthdays apart from each other this year.  While we were there my mom wanted to get pictures of the grand kids, let's just say trying to get all three to be happy and the same time was a challenge:)  While I was there we also went to the pumpkin walk, one of my favorite birthday traditions when I was little.  Hudson also got to meet two of his future girlfriends:)

month 3

He's starting to pass up Mr. Giraffe!

Hudson started giggling this week and we love it!!  He also likes to tell us stories; he loves hearing the sound of his own voice.  He is getting stronger everyday and we are loving his little personality.  He loves to smile when he hears our voice and our favorite is when he smiles at us and then puts his head down; he's kind of a shy little guy:)

san francisco

Last week Megan, Laurel and took a quick trip to CA to visit the Granum's.  We had such a great time in the 3 short days we were there.  The flight was a little funny with two pregnant girls and a baby but luckily it went smoothly and quickly - thanks to an episode of Project Runway and great girl chat:)

We spent a lot of the time by the pool and exploring the cute little town of Los Gatos but my favorite was the day we surprised Megan with an early 30th birthday where we gave her 30 presents throughout the day of all of the things Megan loves!  This day we went to San Francisco and saw the sights.  This was my first time in San Francisco and I loved it!  We visited Pier 39 where we saw the sea lions and Alcatraz and then we took a drive up to Coit Tower so we could see all of SF.  Next we went to the Marina area where we got some great shots of the Golden Gate bridge and ate amazing Mexican for dinner.

It was so great to spend a weekend away with the girls and see the Granum's.  I have to say I loved northern California but New York is still better:)

first time flyer

Hudson took his first flight last week from NYC to San Jose and slept almost the whole flight.  I was very nervous for the flight but luckily I had Laurel and Megan there to help me and calm my nerves.  Then Hudson and I flew from San Francisco to SLC and SLC to NYC and once again he slept the whole time!! I have to admit, having a baby that sleeps so well made the trip much more enjoyable and made me love our little guy even more!!

I don't know who likes it more, Hudson or daddy ...
