month 3

He's starting to pass up Mr. Giraffe!

Hudson started giggling this week and we love it!!  He also likes to tell us stories; he loves hearing the sound of his own voice.  He is getting stronger everyday and we are loving his little personality.  He loves to smile when he hears our voice and our favorite is when he smiles at us and then puts his head down; he's kind of a shy little guy:)

san francisco

Last week Megan, Laurel and took a quick trip to CA to visit the Granum's.  We had such a great time in the 3 short days we were there.  The flight was a little funny with two pregnant girls and a baby but luckily it went smoothly and quickly - thanks to an episode of Project Runway and great girl chat:)

We spent a lot of the time by the pool and exploring the cute little town of Los Gatos but my favorite was the day we surprised Megan with an early 30th birthday where we gave her 30 presents throughout the day of all of the things Megan loves!  This day we went to San Francisco and saw the sights.  This was my first time in San Francisco and I loved it!  We visited Pier 39 where we saw the sea lions and Alcatraz and then we took a drive up to Coit Tower so we could see all of SF.  Next we went to the Marina area where we got some great shots of the Golden Gate bridge and ate amazing Mexican for dinner.

It was so great to spend a weekend away with the girls and see the Granum's.  I have to say I loved northern California but New York is still better:)

first time flyer

Hudson took his first flight last week from NYC to San Jose and slept almost the whole flight.  I was very nervous for the flight but luckily I had Laurel and Megan there to help me and calm my nerves.  Then Hudson and I flew from San Francisco to SLC and SLC to NYC and once again he slept the whole time!! I have to admit, having a baby that sleeps so well made the trip much more enjoyable and made me love our little guy even more!!

I don't know who likes it more, Hudson or daddy ...

the bumbo

Now that Hudson's neck is getting stronger we have been testing out the bumbo chair.  He has to be in the right mood to sit in it, and like tummy time, he only lasts so long.  My favorite is he likes to curl his toes and look at them while he's sitting in it:)

I'm loving all of the faces

Checking out his toes

tummy time

Hudson has a love-hate relationship with tummy time.  For 5 minutes he loves it and then ... he hates it!

apple picking

Yesterday we took Hudson on one of our favorite New England activities - apple picking!!!  I have been waiting five years to share this experience with our child and I was not disappointed.  Yes, he slept most of the time and had no idea what we were doing, but we loved it!  I think the thing that we loved the most is just knowing how much more fun it is going to be next year and all the years after that.  After the hayride and picking our apples, we got the best apple cider donuts and cider I have ever had and drove through all of my favorite little Connecticut towns.

Our photo shoot in the pumpkins.  I know it was torture but I had to do it, and every other mom was doing it too.  That's what moms do, right?

2 month check-up & sleeping baby

Hudson had his 2 month check-up on Friday and I was not only nervous for his shots but curious to see how much he has gained.  He's starting to get pretty chunky so I new it was going to be quite a bit but I didn't think it would be this month.  For weight he is in the 90th percentile for his age and the 75th percentile for his height.

2 month stats
Weight - 14lbs 2 oz - 90th percentile
Height - 23 in - 75th percentile

And because there is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby, and I think Hudson is so precious when he sleeps, I had to add a bunch!  His new thing is he turns in his sleep . . .  I will put him down with his head at the top of the crib and when I go in to get him he has turned 90 degrees - he kicks in his sleep and it scoots his body around:)

Our little Yankee is growing everyday - we can't believe he is already two months!!!

He's starting to realize Mr. Giraffe is his friend.  Notice the rolls developing on his thighs - I love it!!!
