darcy vs. thornton
Has anyone ever seen/heard of the movie North & South from the Elizabeth Gaskell collection? I just finished watching it and now I am obsessed. Mr. Thornton is to die for and I'm still trying to decide who is the bigger hunk, he or Mr. Darcy. I have always been a HUGE fan of Jane Austen's stories and I have seen Pride & Prejudice at least 50 times and I still love it as if it were my first time watching it. I never thought I would love anything more than P&P but I believe it has met it's match. I can't believe I've never heard of Elizabeth Gaskell until now. If you love Jane Austen you have to watch North & South (the BBC version) and tell me what you think.

you crack me up!! I have never seen this movie, but what I am really smiling at is your movin' on up post! When we moved, I almost went through Jesse withdrawals!! Our first little house was tiny and we too were always together!! However, I second the dishwasher statement!! I miss you Sheena!! Are you coming home sometime in summer? I wish I was coming out there, but I can't yet...anyway, love your posts!!
I have seen North and South, but not the version I think you are talking about. I became obsessed with the miniseries with Patrick Swayze about the Civil War when I was in the 2nd grade and at various times in my life I have rented the whole miniseries and watched it again. But I would love to check out this North and South. I love Jane Austen-esque anything!

Better than P&P?!? I don't know if I will ever be able to agree with that, but I will give it a try. You know me I am a sucker for anything romantic.
